Kristin Helling enjoys stories with a journey- whether it’s a journey across the globe, a journey through space, or a journey of finding ones self.
She writes Adult fiction thrillers, as well as children stories. On the side, she also has a love for Creative Nonfiction shorts and travel narratives. She received her BA in English-Writing from Park University (Parkville, MO) with an 18-hour minor in Psychology.
Her love for writing travel narratives began after a trip she went on called “Tour DaVinci”, where she visited all the places marked in Dan Brown’s novel, The DaVinci Code. For her, traveling is addictive. Throughout her childhood her parents took her and her siblings to many different places, which she feels really opened her curiosity to the big world that’s out there.
She’s gotten the opportunity to travel to all but 15 of the states in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Scotland, England, France (3 times), and Germany (Briefly). There are so many more places she’d like to go, and she knows she’s only just touched the surface of the world.
Kristin is married to a photographer, and lives outside of Kansas City with their two hairy children, a husky and a collie shepherd mix.

Whether she is traveling on foot or traveling through her writing, it’s something she simply cannot stop.Â
